Hi! My name is John Leahy, thank you for viewing my profile. I have been playing guitar since 2012, in addition to teaching actively since 2020. During my time as a teacher, have been able to create catered lessons for each client I get the opportunity to work with. I have found that all students should be looked at as their own musician, as it is vital to creating the foundation in a productive and insightful manner.

In addition to teaching, I have been involved in the music industry in many different environments. Prior to teaching I was in a touring band, opened for some of my favorite artists, experienced venues all over the East Coast, along with being a booking manager / agent for multiple venues and bands in the area.
As the owner of Peace Valley Studios, I have made it one of my goals to create an outlet through music. Another field of experience pertains to my work in the autism community. I was brought into the community through a non speaking adult, originally as his songwriting teacher. I received my autism certification through IBCCES (International Board of Credentialing & Continuing Edu. Standards) along with taking courses at Arizona State University focusing on facilitated communication.

Seeing how beneficial it was to bring a voice to a non speaking individual, I instantly fell in love with the idea of the therapeutic benefits in music. I am now the caretaker for this man, and have been able to develop our relationship in so many ways through arts and music.

My overall goal for the current state and future of Peace Valley Studios, is to spread the gift of music to everyone who comes through our doors. PVS is dedicated to providing various programs ,that we feel are not currently offered in our community.

180.00 for 4 lessons (once a week) at 45 minutes per lesson

$160.00 for 4 lessons (once a week) at 30 mins per lesson
